Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's sons - was born at Woodland Hills, California in the year 1956. She was the home of her mother and was also a mom. Her older brothers are: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick was an accomplished singer and performer from an early age. Her passion was to put on shows with puppets for the neighbors. She won in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest at age 6 and was approached via Pat Domigan, a talent agent from the Jack Wormser Agency. He requested that she be interested to work in the business of show production. McCormick was commissioned to perform in her debut major role in 1964 in a tv commercial for Mattels most recent doll, Baby Pattaburp. That same year, she was featured in another television commercial for the doll Chatty Cathy. After that, she was cast at La Jolla Playhouse to play the character of the character Wind It up until It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was one of 1200 children for the part of the eldest towheaded daughter in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed, newlyweds who had a blended-family. The show lasted for five years. In her autobiography Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice published in 2008 McCormick revealed that during the fifth season, she was close to losing her virginity to her onscreen co-star and brother Barry Williams. The actress was sixteen years old and the actor was 19, at that moment. We would've had a couple, she added. The timing, however, wasn't right.
